Maegen Luka Accepts Award From Tampa Bay Trial Lawyers Association
For her efforts leading the Brannock & Humphries team that achieved a landmark decision from the Florida Supreme Court last year, Maegen Luka was honored with the “Protector of the Realm” award at the Tampa Bay Trial Lawyers Association’s annual gala.
The Supreme Court decision that garnered the award set an important precedent for Florida’s Medicaid recipients. Based on arguments developed by Brannock & Humphries, the Supreme Court limited the amount of money that Medicaid agencies can recover from a tort victim’s personal injury verdict or settlement.
