Chambers USA Ranks More Brannock Humphries & Berman Lawyers As Leaders In Appellate Practice Than Any Other Florida Firm

Praising its attorneys’ “high-caliber work” and singling out the firm as a “highly-respected boutique,” Chambers USA has placed Brannock Humphries & Berman, and its three managing shareholders, in elite company on one of the most prestigious rankings of Florida’s top appellate lawyers and law firms.

This was the first year that Chambers, known for its rigorous and independent methodology, has ranked Florida appellate firms.  Just seven firms made the cut, including large international law firms like Greenberg Traurig and Holland & Knight.  Putting Brannock Humphries & Berman among this exclusive group, Chambers highlighted the firm’s “vast experience representing clients in both major state and federal appellate courts,” noting in particular the firm’s “expertise in commercial disputes.”

Brannock Humphries & Berman also claimed more lawyers in Chambers’ individual appellate practice rankings than any other Florida firm of any size.  Steve Brannock was one of only 10 lawyers statewide to achieve the top-tier, “Band 1” ranking.  Chambers praised Steve as a “top-notch attorney” and a “fabulous writer,” also applauding his “nice, casual style that judges want and like.”

Celene Humphries was listed with just seven other attorneys in “Band 2,” where Chambers commented that she is “held in high regard” and considered “a well-established name in the field.”  And Ceci Berman was one of only eight lawyers ranked in “Band 3,” with Chambers remarking on her “extensive experience.”

The Chambers rankings are based on wide-ranging research undertaken by more than 200 full-time editors and researchers employed at Chambers’ head office in London.  Rankings are not completed and listed until Chambers talks to lawyers and clients, conducting in-depth telephone and email interviews.  The focus is on lawyers and firms who handle complex, significant matters.  Chambers considers factors like technical legal ability, client service, commercial vision and business understanding, diligence, and the depth of a law firm’s team.
