Brannock Berman & Seider Welcomes New Lawyer

Alison Preston has joined Brannock Berman & Seider as an associate in the firm’s Tampa office. A former Deputy Solicitor General for the State of Florida, Ali has substantial experience handling high-stakes civil and criminal appeals in both state and federal court.

Ali brings an impressive resume to the firm. She is a high honors graduate of Stetson University College of Law, where she attended on a full-merit scholarship, was an editor on the law review, and participated as a two-year, award-winning member of the moot court board.  Upon graduation, Ali clerked for Judge Charles Wilson on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and Judge Michael Allen on the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims before working for the U.S. Department of Justice and later the Florida Solicitor General’s Office.

Ali is an engaged member of the Florida appellate community.  She currently serves as the co-chair of the Hillsborough County Bar Association’s Appellate Practice Section, the chair of the local Federal Bar Association’s Appellate Committee, and the vice chair of the Outreach Committee for The Florida Bar’s Appellate Practice Section, where she is also a member of the Executive Council. In addition to those leadership roles, Ali is a board member for the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Federal Bar Association and a member of the J. Clifford Cheatwood American Inn of Court.

A native Tampanian and at least sixth-generation Floridian, Ali is active with her local church and enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her dog. Brannock Berman & Seider is thrilled to welcome her to the firm.
